The Life of a mastermom copy

√ Completed! I just finished uploading my first official “The Life of A MasterMom” Vlog on my official youtube channel! YAY! (Mommy Dancing.)

The vlog is a simple personal contribution to the great youtube world that carries a burst of inspiration to moms in general. I do believe that the moms who have dedicated their lives by choice or by need as a stay at home parents will be impacted by this channel. I also have connection videos called MasterMom TV Video that will contain everyday mom how to videos product review, mommy matters topic such as health, scheduling etc.

Being a 6 years stay at home mom, I have learned so many things on my journey about navigating my days and nights with the children, and my heart’s desire is to capture my moments so that I can look back at my own personal growth, and mostly the growth of my babies. Funny enough I have been into youtubing since about 2014, but I remember coming across a ladies youtube page that totally intrigued me simply because we were so much alike with regards to our mothering situation and season.

I reached out to her and she was super sweet. I want my channel to have the same effect on the stay at home moms and moms in general that connect to my channel. I want to remind them that the #momlife has to be taken one day at a time nothing more. So if you are reading and are interesting in anything mom life tune in! I would love suggestions for video themes similar to “A day in the life of mom, clean up routines, dinner ideas for toddlers etc! Please comment and share what you think would be amazing! Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the little bell for updates and more videos! Thanks in advance for your support!

Mental Health for Moms….

stressed-mom

Does any really pay attention or even think about the mental health of moms. As a stay at home mom of 3 boys under the age of seven years old, I often times think of the mental place that other moms are in that I share this season in particular.

I know that doctors are always concerned about the mental health of moms during a moms pregnancy and right after the delivery and return home due to the high rise of postpartum depression. It’s so easy to feel lost, exhausted and mentally stripped going through the day to day routines of motherhood. I often times have to fight for consistent stability and my own safe space of refill mentally. My husband recently picked up more hours of work, which means that I am officially a single parent just about Monday through Sunday during the daytime. Now don’t get offended by the wording I used to express my position in the home. Being a single parent in this case simply means that majority of the parenting task and responsibility in this season I will carry.

You’ve often time heard of bad stories about moms randomly killing their children, and as a whole and compassionate individual you may wonder how in the world could that mom do that…. she must be a monster. Now I would by no means endorse a mother killing the treasures of God which children are indeed, but does anyone take time to understand the job of moms, and what exactly they do every day. Most moms have the responsibility of raising “HUMANS” teaching them every single detail of what it means to become a decent human being and an asset to our society today. Call me a preach, but from sun up to sun down moms across the world are working intensely by serving their households every day Monday through Sunday with no time off except for the sleep that is required to stay alive…

Initially writing this post I felt a huge ball of emotion, and underappreciation from our society in particular that makes the role of motherhood at times appear to be so simple. Boy, it is not!!! I often time get frustrated talking to people that have no clue and don’t show a sense of empathy at all for Motherhood! But thank God that I feel a level of strength, and pride because I understand the amount of responsibility that God Himself entrusted me with by lending me my beautiful 3 boys to raise, and make great men. I hope that this post triggers you as a mom to think about the choices that you must make each day of raising your children the best way possible. I want to encourage you to also push for peace in your mind so that you can continue to do what has been given to you as one of the greatest and most important jobs on earth and that is raising children. Here are a few things that I do to detox when my fuels running low and I am on my way to exploding!

1-Chamomile, Stress Lavender Tea: Tea has been a God sent. At the end of almost every day, my body craves a warm cup of tea to wind down after I put the little ones down. You should try it!

2-Buy a diffuser- Ever since I purchased one, I love it! It instantly helps to shift my mood will all of the scents that are designed to help address your needs.

3-Prayer and reflection of the day. I often will sit on the edge of my bed right before I drift off to sleep thanking God for the day and thinking about how much He has blessed me in spite of the stress of motherhood. I feel a sense of strength and renewal.

4- Finding someone to talk to about your stress: I will often vent to my husband and mom about what I am feeling. They help me to round up my emotions by just listening or responding and giving me a new fresh perspective.

5- Understanding that seasons change- The best perspective to have when raising children, in general, is to understand that nothing last forever. The best view to have is a positive one realizing that these are your years to sow into your children because they don’t stay small forever!

I would love your feedback! Please respond below!

The Homeschooling Journey👩🏽👦🏾👦🏾🏡

img_3661

We started our family homeschooling journey in 2016. As we launched right into it with passion the first desire was for me personally to get the ball rolling by getting connected to a local co-op and curriculum style. Now the journey of homeschooling is very intimidating, because of our culture and the way the mindset of majority of people view the process of homeschooling. The intimidation of homeschooling can also be identified in the lack of ability that one may feel to teach their own children, but I believe that homeschooling can be identified as a call to lead and teach your children in more than one way. I think the concept of homeschooling is promoted to be one of the hardest acts of connecting to your children but in reality parents in most cases are greatly qualified to teach their children.

Our personal journey has caused our sons to expand and blossom in great ways while also stretching us as parents as well. I remember breaking down in tears after realizing that my mind would be stretched in my experience of teaching my children as well. After not completing certain areas of schooling personally, it was easy to feel disqualified but I love the fact that I can report that being able to learn while my children are learning makes me smile.

Though our journey is long and may have some bumps in the road ahead of us because of life. Us and the children are learning to enjoy each moment. Some days are easy and some are hard but the feeling of great satisfaction and the blessing of being apart of teaching our boys makes me smile. Here are a few tips to encourage you on your current journey or on your future journey of homeschooling.

💕Know that anything that you don’t put your hand to do will always appear unattainable in life. Such is true with homeschooling you just have to get in there and try it. Of course with a plan in place. But you can do it!

💕Homeschool in your own way. Though there are blueprints that clearly work across the board please do it the way that works best for you!

💕Be sure to take a moment or moments for you to refuel. The reality is that homeschool can be draining but when you take moments to refuel and do what you love you can always get back on track.

If you have any questions about our homeschooling journey or are in need of tips please feel free to shoot me a message @themastermomblog@gmail.com
Enjoy your journey!

♥ So I often times don’t like to find myself complaining because of the fact that I am gratefully and truly aware of how God has blessed me in my life overall. Often times I have encountered people that are intrigued by our family of 5. They usually skip my husband and me all together and comment on “all things our boys” which brings us great joy, but truthfully it reminds us of the never-ending feeling of always feeling exhausted. I think people get the concept of having 3 boys under 7 years old, and what it may feel like in our experience. Often time while I am in public with our 3 sons people comment on how full my hands are, or they remind me of the countless prayers that go up on my behalf by them lol.

♥ The thing that must be highlighted is the importance of understanding the true liberty that current parents of little ones should be given by those who choose to ask their opinion about their parenting journey. I am a true believer of true and accurate empathy given to people.

♥From a personal point of view, I am learning to hold back a bit on being transparent about my current state in parenting. I am learning that my reply will often be misunderstood and minimized by those that are not currently going through this particular season of parenting and you know what it’s ok all the way around.

♥ My question to you is: How do you handle the criticism of others who mean well but ignorantly just don’t get it?

(Terrible 1’s?)

The youngest star of our team Dathyn (the baby) Declyn has decided to emerge and take on the true meaning of what most like to call the (terrible two’s) way before his 2-year milestone arrives in November.

He manages to run through the house on a regular basis like a mini tornado seeking to turn over, up, and out anything in his path. As a mom of three, I honestly had to have sit back recently and try to remind myself of my past experiences with my other two children to see if I could remember them becoming a mini raging (I want things my way) little person.

Our pediatrician best described our Dathyn’s (craze)stage as a cry out for independence. She reminded my husband and me of what it would be like to be picked up and taken from one location to another every day, consistently against your will. She says, Imagine being in your state now having people telling you what to eat, wear etc. It would cause you to become a bit feisty right….. Well.. I agreed.

I think as parents we have to be mindful of being empathetic about the different seasons that our children go through in their growth stages of life. It’s easy to shrug them off and deem their emotions and inability to fully communicate the way we do as nothing.

It’s important that as the mature examples that we are to our children that we do the extra work to give them much patience and understanding. When we find ourself defensive of our children’s  natural process of frustrations let us take a few steps back before moving forward.

Here are a few tipz that I learned to help with counteracting frustration on both parts.Read them and feel to comment to let me know if they worked into your system of parenting. I hope these tips are helpful! I want us all to succeed and enjoy our mothering experience!

Just like that here comes 1😂😂😂👶🏽

So just like that our baby boy Dathyn will be one. I have mixed emotions once again. While I am looking forward to his growth I am hurting because my baby won’t be a baby soon🙄…My middle place of peace is realizing the blessing of being able to give birth and the enjoyment of babyhood for all three of our princes.

Dathyn will be 1 on Nov, 18th @7:30am lol. I am determined to enjoy every second of him continuing of course after he’s 1!!!

One other thing that I am struggling with is the decision to end my breastfeeding journey. I don’t intend to breastfeed as intensely after he turn one ☝️ but we will see what comes of it all….

Our birthday plans are in full affect! We are set to do a Mickey Mouse theme. He 💕 the Mickey Mouse clubhouse. I am expecting about 10 guest. I’ll be sure to post pictures. Transition from babyhood to crazy toddlerhood won’t be easy but it of course will be fun!!

I love you Dathyn Declyn mommy is certainly looking forward to watching you grow and grow!!! Lets party! #BigFat!
